Author's notes: I truly can't believe my own lameness (is that even a word? It is now!). I really thought I could wrap this damn chapter up properly, but I've had truly suck-ass two weeks that left me rather drained and barely able to keep my eyes open in the evenings, let alone write, so once again, I decided to post the part that made some sense and make a small step in the progression of this story rather than not post anything. So sorry to keep this story bouncing on the spot - clearly this is not a year in which I'll earn myself some writing credit - most of the stuff I come up with is kind of "meh".
Title: To have and to keep - Chapter 5 (LJ, it's not personal, you betraying bastard, but this is going to AO3!)
Warnings: a very confused and very much underage Scorpius entering the world of crushes and sexual experiences he was perhaps not meant to have - in short, he just didn't think much. With his upper head. ;)
Main pairing: Scorpius Malfoy/Hugo Weasley (getting there! so close now!), this chapter (still kind of) featuring James Potter/Scorpius Malfoy

LOL, yup! I'm breaking my records backwards! :)
And not only it is short, it's also, uhm... not all that. :/ I just hope you're not too disappointed, because it isn't exactly epic or anything.
Seriously, I had such a shit couple of weeks, I haven't managed to get any real writing done (I do have some 15 more pages written, but not ready to post yet) and I really want to write and have no time! It's so frustrating. I hope October is better, September was just murder.

I'm sorry your last couple of weeks have been shit. :( *hugs* I've been having a very busy month (last) but I'm hoping this next month will normalise, at least RL & work-wise. Fandom with erised will surely get busier though.

But not disappointed at all! I actually went ahead and read it because I literally couldn't wait and I loved it! I was scared about the candies but everything turned out well, I think? LOL

Thank you, you're too kind! :) I'm sure it'll all sort itself out, but it was a bit stressful in September with kids both starting school (the little one is even a first-grader and the older one is a massive disciplinary issue :P), so I would come home and try to write and my head would just hit the keyboard at some point from exhaustion. Just 2 days ago I spent 4 hours in a car because of traffic jams on my way to- and from work, so I was really not inspired.
I'm so happy you didn't think that the candy scheme was too lame - the thought of something more destructive briefly entered my mind, but I decided to go with the subtle version instead. I think if Hugo made too much of a bang, his father's business might be in danger and perhaps the shift that was happening inside Scorp's mind would lost its meaning by comparison.
