Oh, man I should really have Monday blues more often (well, not really, but you know...) because it has such wonderful results. Not only did I get a lovely story from the one and only starstruck1986 to send me off to sleep with a big smile on my face - but I also got another one from the big sweetheart that is [livejournal.com profile] bramblerose4 to brighten my morning - and this one is literally customised to my life and mood in the office on a rainy day! :D

That poor exhausted and so not-in-the-mood for work Ron (he's actually trying to put Harry up to having work banned on rainy days, LOL!) might as well be my alter ego. Every mornign when I drive from the sunlit meadows of my region into the drizzly, foggy pit that is the capital city, where I work (it is in another region and it has a different climate), I feel like bawling and kicking some weather god's ass! So, Ronnie, my man - I hear you! :) Luckily for Ron, Harry insists on behaving professionally - but he's not "capo di banda" who has the final say! :)

Man, I've got to be the luckiest girl alive! :) I got a most wonderful gift-story by the one and only [livejournal.com profile] starstruck1986 who notice my Monday blues on Twitter (nothing special, but it's fucking Monday and God decided to unleash all the world's reserves of rain onto the tiny fart of a country I live in) and promptly decided to make it all better! And she did!

I was being very vague on my wish-list - "make my favourite redhead cuddle" and "with the bespectacled one" - but I knew I was on the safe side, because I know she writes killer Harry/Ron and that's my oldest fandom love. I promptly realised that Harry is not the only person wearing glasses in the canon, so I was kind of anxious if I'm going to see a Ron/Trelawney pairing come to life (I'm eternally grateful my fears were not realised, LOL!) and for some reason (hmmm, why would that be *rolls thumbs*), I felt the need to stress that the story should not be too doom and gloom. And it wasn't! :D
It's a brilliant little moment between Ron, who's desperate for Harry's attention - and Harry, who can only play hard to get for so long! *beams*

Excerpt: "The rain poured on, the lightning flashed, the thunder rumbled. Ron laid there, his head in Harry's lap, smelling him, feeling him, loving him."

Heey!

Just when I thought this day was going to be one of those "if this is the last day before my death, fuck it, just bring in the undertaker already!", my wonderfulest (heh) [livejournal.com profile] daleah made me a gorgeou art gift of a thestral !!! :D For obvious reason I was super impressed and my day was saved! :) Thestrals are my favourite HP creatures, beating even dragons (which I admire from afar) and house-elves (whom I identify with) by a fair margin!
Go tell her what a splendid girl she is and how lovely her work is! :)
And she even made me a gorgeous icon, dammit, I'm a lucky girl! :)
