Dammit, BF's brother with his son are visiting and I can't really write in the evenings - and I just started another piece! it's hard to focus with being interrupted every 3 seconds and with howls of laughter coming from the other side of the room, accompanied by "you've gotta come and see this"... no, I really don't. :P But I know that BF misses hearing his native language and his family, so I'm trying to be less grumpy than usual when my "evening plans" don't happen. But they can't stop me from doodling, can they?! *mwahahahaha* Sadly. Oh, boy, I really should keep my day job. *giggles madly*

Hope you're having fun with the BF's fam, and that you're well in general <333

Thank you, babe - that's very kind coming from the artistic prodigy you! :) I have no idea how Rose of all people showed up on a paper, but there you go - she poked her freckly nose out and she wouldn't be erased. ;)
Oh, I so owe you a mail, I have the guiltiest conscience, but with guests in the house I can barely manage to... uhm, doodle.
I'm relatively good otherwise - my London adventure was pretty awesome and I might go again to a short holiday by the sea in August if my finances allow it, so it hasn't been bad. How are you coping with winter? Oh, god, you have no idea how weird that sounds, sitting in the weather that's going up to 37°C! :P

I mean, why our bf's & Co have the need to share any inane joke with you when you're very busy writing fanfic, or in my case reading it (also important!)? XD
That's such a beautiful Rose! ♥_ ♥
I love her full ips and eyebrows, very powerful eyebrows, just like her dad! ;) And her hair is beautiful. You're an artist!!!!!! <33

Thank you for the lovely compliment - I figured Rose should also have a bit of Ron in her, but perhaps her eyebrows make her look a bit androgynous - and why not! :)
Unfortunately, all the drawing talent in my family went to the other line of the family - my great grandfather was quite good at painting (good enough to get paid to paint people's houses and a few religious premises), but my aunt, and not my mother, inherited all his talent and her son did as well. Oh, well, you can't have everything - I really should stick with writing, at least there I approximatelly know what I'm doing, LOL!
Thank you for being so kind! :)

To be honest, I'm mostly ashamed to post any of my doodles because I put like zero work and time in them (I make most of them out of boredom while I should be doing something else, like paying attention at the meeting) - and then there's good art online that takes lots of time and effort to make and suddenly those doodles look like one big misery by comparison. But I guess that's why they're called doodles and not proper art - you just sort of pour out an idea or a whim roaming around your head, so there's room for something more worthy, LOL! :)

I'm still in habit of having all the prettiest pictures developed. BF prefers to keep them in digital form (at least he did until one of the kids dropped the hard-drive where he kept all our pictures since our 1st son was born and now he'd have to have it fixed - 500-2000 dollars!) - but even he appreciates the calendars I make for my family members for Christmas with the best pictures of kids and our family events!
And I used to make my own boxes for things like jewellery (I still have one of those around, it's very clumsy, I'll show you a picture once, LOL!) and pencils and such. I'm not a very outdoor person and not very artsy, but I do like some craftsmanship every once in a while. :)
But I never really doodled much to be honest (I'm doing that in the last few years) - I always felt so damn inferior to everyone who can really draw and paint in my family. ;)

My mom does these really beautiful watercolor drawings and she sells them at farmer's markets and stuff. I never felt inferior per se, but I've never felt incredibly proud of what I draw. It's easier to just label all my stuff as doodles and then it doesn't matter if they're good or not! I dunno, if you just draw for the fun of it then anything you draw is good because it's fun :) !
P.S. I LOVE little boxes. My parents used to go nuts, because I would just collect fancy little whimsical boxes from wherever and there always ended up being too many of them and my mom would be like "where did you even get this?" and I'd be like, "I dunno, but I put pressed flowers in it and it's pretty..."

Heh, my fits of doodles usually also surprise me, because I'd be scribbling something one moment and before you know it, that something has a nose and eyes and hair and there's a person looking at me and I'm waiting for it to introduce itself.:) I usually try to hide it, since I do most of my doodling during our boring company meetings, LOL!
Heh, I guess I started making customised boxes because I could never find any practical ones to stuff my things into, so I figured if there weren't any, I better go and make some that suit my needs, heh. :) They are terrible creations, but I'm still very fond of them. :)

And boring company meetings are basically asking to be labeled as "doodle time". I graduated as Valedictorian of my High School, and I swear I read Novels and doodled my way through at least 60% of my classes. I even got sent to the Principal's office once for reading in class one too many times (That was the worst, because they stuck me in a room with a desk and a chair and absolutely nothing else for an hour and I was beside myself with boredom).
