Happy day! :D In the light of the on-going hp_nextgen_fest the wonderful capitu made me a brand new and shiny Hugo-themed banner/icon! She knows what a happy squealy Hugo fan I am - seriously, we're talking throwing bras and fainting here, LOL! - and this beauty made me squeal happily at my work (screw them, yeah, if they don't aopreciate a squealy employee with some spirit, they can get another half-dead mental patient to do their paper-pushing!):

Isn't it gorgeous?! I'm not even going to use the cut, my journal, my rules, it's too pretty to be hidden! I love the hearty at the edge, it looks like little butterfly - or perhaps Veela! - wings, doesn't it?!

This Patient Zero of the HLV (=Hugo-love virus) is happily on its way to world domination and please be so kind not to fight the infection, should you be so lucky to contract it! :D
*yeah, I know, I know, but some things are worth being silly for, LOL!*

Update: And I got an icon as well! *starts polka dancing* :) Thank you, capitu, I've got more presents than Dudley now - well, at least it feels like it! :D

You know, I totally lost it when I read HLV. You know what I'm working at, so my first thought was: that's wrong it stands for His Last Vow (name of the 9th Sherlock episode) and then I started giggling like mad, because no matter which fandom, it invades your life and makes you go barmy. LOL

LOL, so you go sucked into the black hole of the Holmes fandom and can't be bothered to look for a compass! :) I also sometimes walk through life, making HP references and it takes me a while before I realize no one gets them! I just called my mom's bag - full of nick-nack, honestly, she probably has a few things from the Bermuda triangle in there - a Hermione bag and she stared at me with a completely blank expression, before I got that she had no idea what I was on about, heh... :) Fandom people. I think we're wired differently! :)

I've only written Hugo once as a main character (well, erm, given the fact that the next_gen fest is still open that might or might not be a lie, LOL), but I've always enjoyed it. I'd put him in a "supporting" role often enough, but I totally think he's got a potential to be a star! :D

I wrote one called something like Hugo Weasley's Infamous Willy, which may have been for nextgen fest-- I can't remember. Lavender was the star, but Hugo's willy was her opposing lead.

I actually reread that one recently and I still mostly like it.

I was more thinking in the direction of Aussie branch manager for the brand, but hey, if you wanna collect all the coin thrown at Hugo's lovely behind, I think that's also an admirable plan! :D Just be sure to throw the Hugo syndicate a picnic every once in a while (and buy some drawing supplies, so you can spread the freckles' love)! :D
