Oh, I totally have the best friends ever, at least in fandom I do!! Sometimes I feel like I just sit on my ass day in-day out, complaining and lamenting, and those wonderful people that I got to know not so long ago, just all rush in to help me with my "down in the mud again" mood. And the shitty day I had the other time (8 hours sitting on those bar chairs, don't remind me!)  was totally a proof of that. Everyone was super nice, trying (successfuly) to lift my spirits up - but the very special and very best uplifting tool came from the one and only philharmony who came up with a wonderful, scorching hot Ron/Draco story for yours truly (uhm, that would be me... me, me, me, it's a story for me, in case I wasn't clear enough!!).
It's - very appropriately - called Shitty Days and Perfect Nights (or if you prefer to link to it from the author's journal, it's here ) and it begins with Draco, clearly stuck in the middle of a dead-boring formal dinner, innerly despairing over the absence of his lover, sulkily attempting to ruin everyone's evening, because the Malfoys are just "mature" that way - not! :D He is very much in character, and his grumpiness is kind of sweet - but only up until his lover actually arrives - and then his frustration tranforms into a scorching hot "need you right now and fuck all" sex-and-more encounter, that just makes me want to read it over and over again. That Ron in there is to die for - just look at this:

"Pure sapphire blue gazed at me adoringly, more brilliant than any gem my money could buy. Fiery red hair framed his face, warmer than any fire I could conjure. Bronzed freckles spattered across his cheeks and nose, even his lips, more enthralling than any constellation could ever be."

Or this:

"I breathed in deep and let my happiness wash over me while I inhaled the scent of the outdoors, sweat and battle magic, a bit of fire, a bit of ash, and a whole lot of Ron ."

Now, how's that not perfect, you tell me?! :D Go on, read it, read it - and if you love it at least the fraction of the way that I did, please spare a few seconds for a kudos - or even a comment! - to the talented author.

philharmony, darling - I wish I was any better with expressing gratitude - thank you so much for this brilliant, inspiring present. I hope it makes a lot of people squee with joy, just the way it did me! :)

Oh, man I should really have Monday blues more often (well, not really, but you know...) because it has such wonderful results. Not only did I get a lovely story from the one and only starstruck1986 to send me off to sleep with a big smile on my face - but I also got another one from the big sweetheart that is bramblerose4 to brighten my morning - and this one is literally customised to my life and mood in the office on a rainy day! :D

That poor exhausted and so not-in-the-mood for work Ron (he's actually trying to put Harry up to having work banned on rainy days, LOL!) might as well be my alter ego. Every mornign when I drive from the sunlit meadows of my region into the drizzly, foggy pit that is the capital city, where I work (it is in another region and it has a different climate), I feel like bawling and kicking some weather god's ass! So, Ronnie, my man - I hear you! :) Luckily for Ron, Harry insists on behaving professionally - but he's not "capo di banda" who has the final say! :)

Just kidding - I will keep silent for that one person I'm sure I know that didn't manage to get familiar with it yet - BUT THE SHOW WAS SO GREAT! :D

Missed me? *this is where you say yes and nod furiously and try to look sincere, LOL! Also, squeal at will... ;)* Oh, damn, it's no use, is it? I guess most of you never noticed I left, because I post so rarely - BUT - those of you who did - I'M BAAAACK!

London was glorious as always (I'll make a separate post about that) - and The Harry Potter and the Cursed Child plays are definitely a thing to see (it's just not something you can read about and dis at will because seeing it is a totally different experience than reading about it and I'll argue with you about that until we're both blue in the face *picture feisty grin on a muddy face with a few teeth missing*). I'd definitely see them again in a heartbeat if I was offered a chance! They're just bloody adorable, that's what they are! :D That Ron... seriously. *big smile* And Scorpius, the show-stealing Malfoy! So, that was my Cursed child pimping - no spoilers without a warning, just like I promised! - and now to some serious promoting/pimping business:

- Our beloved hp_nextgen_fest will be back with us shortly (well, time is kind of relative anyway, but the fest's importance can't be overstated!) - so I can't jump at the chance to promote it fast enough - I mean just look at this adorable banner - who could resist, seriousyl?!:

- In case you're not aware, there's a new fest open that sounds interesting if one is a lover of music - and I am - and a Potterhead - blimey, I'm that as well! So, without further ado - please check it out and I hope you feel like giving it a go:



Aaaaand I think this is it from me before I disappear into the night. I'm kind of buried in e-mails and messages at the moment, so I apologize, if I won't be able to reply to all of you very soon - but I'll do my best to get back to you as soon as I can. I missed the fandom and you all! :)

Eh, I kind of vaguely remember boasting like a rooster on a pile of manure that this journal shall not be neglected any longer, but we Slytherins tend to be a bit shifty when it comes to our promises, erm, you know... it was just a temporary promise, drafted for the purpose and limited to that particular mail! *innocent blink* (How did I do with wiggling out of this one?)
So, yeah, but not to be a complete and utter butt, I decided to at least be half way decent and pimp a next_gen fest which is coming real soon (and which I might take a part in if I finally lose al my marbles).and which is totally going to be awesome. I'm looking forward to reading all of them stories, so go wild, people! :)
