My older son is 10, nearly 11, and he's been having these problems for years. As an Asperger child he will have medications available to him, but I was hoping I could delay that for another few years, until he hits the puberty for real, because then the problems tend to escalate considerably. But with the rate he's going, I'm going to have to put him on pills prematurely if things keep going in this direction. There is literally zero filter from his explosive mind to his actions. To be honest, we're all quite temperamental, but as an adult you are socialised enough to keep your more hot-headed impulses to yourself and act civilly - but he isn't, at least not yet. It doesn't help, that he also has ADHD and dyspraxia, so his attention span is super-short, his attention is all over the place and he's not very good with motorics, so he finds it hard to establish himself and create some kind of status for himself among his peers. At least his brother is the complete opposite - he's 6 and he has girls fighting over him already, so there's that. :) Thank you so much for your encouraging words, I know you've got your own problems galore so I really appreciate it! :)
