That's really cool. I own about a dozen journals starting from when I was eleven on, and when I reread them I'm more prone to bust into giggles or blush in mortification at my young self than anything else. e.g. "I learned today that Ben was having an ice skating party this weekend. I don't even care that I wasn't invited. I'm being serious, Percy" (the name of my journal) "It may sound like I care, but I really don't. Really." My mom does these really beautiful watercolor drawings and she sells them at farmer's markets and stuff. I never felt inferior per se, but I've never felt incredibly proud of what I draw. It's easier to just label all my stuff as doodles and then it doesn't matter if they're good or not! I dunno, if you just draw for the fun of it then anything you draw is good because it's fun :) !
P.S. I LOVE little boxes. My parents used to go nuts, because I would just collect fancy little whimsical boxes from wherever and there always ended up being too many of them and my mom would be like "where did you even get this?" and I'd be like, "I dunno, but I put pressed flowers in it and it's pretty..."
