I see - it's a bit the same here, the very word often comes in hand with meanings like - to cheat, to get in a row fast for no reason, to move around a lot, to be dirty, to have darker-skin, to be restless, to have a free spirit, to have no sense of responsibility - as you can see: not all of it bad, but it really depends on the context and on the person using the word.
Thanks for looking out for me - I would have inevitably embarrassed myself in the civilized company by using this, without actually meaning anything bad. :)
