Rupert won!
Yey! :) Rupert won the London Newcomer of the year award and it kind of made my evening! :) Congratulations!
I know he'll probably be in lots of plays in the next few years but I used my window of opportunity to see him in this first one live and to me, that makes it really memorable. I most likely won't ever see him live again, living in fucking Mordor where I do, but I really wanted him to win this one where I witness what an excellent actor he was - and he did! :D
I know being in Harry Potter probably made this award happen for him - but that doesn't make him any less worthy of receiving it, mind you! Yeah, I'm kind of the mother hen here, all protective of "my babies". ;)
So yey again! Happy and proud of him! And of myself, to getting all my resources together (financial and otherwise) and see him when I could!
Plus, Potter, erm Daniel was there as well, and I believe he also walked out with quite an award himself. The reunion photos look quite lovely!
I'm just... kind of made happy by this after an exhausting day, so yeah - shoot me. I know it's adolescent and stupid, but I can't care rat's arse if it is. I was really rooting for it (of course I voted and I probably wouldn't have unless I saw him live) - and I guess I was not the only one!

Julia Waters went a bit over the top sometimes. I loved Rupert's character so much more. Rupert acted really well there.

I really hated the girl babbling about god. Pffff.

Of course, Tupert would be strictly character play - we dare not propose anything else - and if there's any on-screen chemistry, damn, that just can't be helped! :D
Wish I saw some more of his movies, I did see Into the white (though it was a bit tough without subtitles - the Norwegian bits were tricky, heh) and Wild target, but none of the newer ones. I hate living in Mordor, you're so lucky, the Netherlands is so mundane. ;)

CBGB was okay. Good humor, but a bit over the top.
Charlie Countryman was way too weird to be entertaining. Rupert's role is superfluously and way too short. :(
I wouldn't mind Rupe and Tom doing a happy hump (strictly professional of course...^^), but that's just my dirty mind playing games with me. ;-)
I really like talking to you btw! <3

It's great to have at least a chance to see all those movies, regardless if you love it or not (well, at least you love bits of them, when ever Rupes sticks his pretty little ginger head up front) - right now I'm pursuing "Kill your darlings" - Daniel may not be my cookie when it comes to men, but that movie definitely sounds like it would be one up my alley - but my movie-hacker "I love block-busters" Frisian is currently deaf to my pleas, so it looks like I'm gonna retort to threats (sad sigh... but whatever works, yeah?);)
Yeah, Tom and Rupert would be a bit of a dream come true for any proper slash-fan, I guess and I think it would be very interesting to see what kind of a chemistry they have together outside of the Potter movies, regardless of their roles. Hmmm... when is Sinterklaas coming again? I know what I'll ask for! ;)
Oh, thank you for the compliment :) (*shines like a 200-watt light-bulb) - I like talking to you as well (otherwise I wouldn't have done it, obviously!), but I can hardly imagine a person that wouldn't like talking to you: you're fun and easy going and well, you sure know your Rupert! :D

Are you Dutch, because you know Sinterklaas? ;-)
I read the rumor somewhere. I forgot where. ;-)

Sinterklaas is such a nice tradition - we watch Sinterklaasjournal and have a CD with songs in the car so they get really psyched up before the event. And of course, we watch the whole thing on TV and they love it how every year there's some plot or scandal or something going wrong before it goes right again. I think the highlight of their celebration is that their dad gets a "zakje zout" in his shoe every year and they don't. ;)
We have the holiday here as well, but it's much more scary - there are proper "devils" going around the house with St. Nicholas and kids are dead scared (which is also good sometimes!) - if you type this word into google, you might see how this looks like over here: parklji
I hope you can sleep at night! ;)

I don't have anything against black people or immigrants (at one point I was the latter myself for a short while when I lived in England), but I do think that they should leave the culture that hosts them as kindly as the Dutch one does, intact in their traditions. So what if Zwaarte Piet is black!? Who cares if he's green!? It shouldn't bloody matter! What matters is, that kids have fun and get passed some of the tradition in the process. And what do you achieve if you make them white - effectively make people forget a piece of very real history - and slavery was part of that. So make them white and we all happily forget it was there. How stupid is that!? Eh... these kinds of things just piss me off and I kind of have a temper, sorry about the rant!;)
Personally, I enjoy seeing the kids in Holland getting all dressed up as well! BTW - we have a carnival in Slovenia today - do you have one, too? Cause my Frisian tells me they don't have one up north, but down south you might.
Heh, I've just seen a new still of Rupert from the Enemy of man! What a cutie! He should play in a few "rough" movies, I like his stormy grumpy face. :)

Like children think of slavery or discrimination. I hope the commotion will pass.
Yes, I live down the river (Limburg), and we celebrate carnival. Although most do. I have done it a couple of times and although I like the dressing up and stuff, I really HATE HATE HATE HATE the music. ;-) So I'll pass. ;-)
Yeah he looks absolutely stunning. Have you seen Rupert's speech on the WOS-awards?

I totally LOVE the presenter. Mooooooove closer ;-)
"Rough" movies? Like hardcore gay-porn? *angel face* ;-)

Yeah, I've seen his acceptance speech - there wasn't much of a speech left in the end, was there?! Our man got right cuddled up there on the stage, heh... :) I envy that lady, I would have probably done the same.;)
Uuuuh, you dirty-minded Dutch... *angel face* indeed!!!:D Hardcore gay porn?! I don't think I've seen one from beginning to the end in my life!:) Sorry to say, but porn movies just don't do it for me - the music in them is also shit, BTW - and I'd take good erotica or sexual innuendo/insinuation and UST over any porn movie I can think of. Pure action, no story just kills it for me. Sorry about that!:) I'm sure it's different if you're a gay guy (I'm not judging, just to be clear, yeah?) - but being a chick with a taste for some slash action makes me appreciate different things. :) I don't mind nudity at all, but it has to develop as part of the bigger story, not as the sole mindless focus of the movie. I guess I have a chicky way to like man-on-man action.:)
